18/07/2006 - Don't you love summer?

Day trips to the countryside, concerts in the park, lazy days by the seaside...

Of course, the highlight of our summer has to be the British International Motor Show - the nation's premier automotive event. It's where we get to show off our latest models, chat with you about all things Honda and even give you a sneak preview of what's coming next.

We'd love to see you at the Honda stand at some point during the show, so to tempt you down here are a few highlights.

The art of racing

As a site-specific commission for the motor show, Dutch artist Paul Veroude has created a new work called "View Suspended". A Honda F1 car hanging in pieces on thin wires, it gives you a fascinating inside look at the thousands of parts that make the fastest Hondas on earth tick. Our passion for racing often finds its way into our road cars, and the upcoming Civic Type R is no exception. Come and see the concept model's first UK appearance.

Green on two wheels

It's not all about speed and burning rubber this year. You may have seen Honda's eco-friendly cars driving around town, and for the motor show we've brought in a trio of rather special two-wheelers: a hybrid scooter, an electric moped and even a fuel cell scooter. They'll be on show alongside the new Civic Hybrid.

New arrivals

The motor show is a great place to compare new cars, so we've brought two that haven't even arrived in dealerships. We'll be unveiling the sporty new Civic Type S for the first time, and you'll also be able to see the all-new Legend close up. The British-built Type S completes the Civic line up, and will be unveiled by associates who work in our Swindon plant.

Getting there and getting in

The British International Motor Show takes place at the ExCeL centre in London's Docklands, from 20_30 July, with a special preview evening on 19 July.
